The Laphroaig 10 years is one of the more drunk and appreciated Single Malt around the world, thanks to the characteristics that distinguish it: as the aroma of peat and the marine notes. Manufactured by one of the eight distilleries on the Islay island the meaning of the name refers to the Gaelic world Laphroaig, that means: The beautiful hole on the wide bay, because the distillery is located, on that piece of sea that separates Scotland from Northern Ireland. Brilliant antique gold in color, releases intense and intriguing scents of smoked peat, salt and iodine notes and marked medicines hints. The taste is complex and deep, warm and responsive to the nose, crossed by a lively flavor and with good acid support. Alone, straight or next to a glass of water, it can be combined with dark chocolate 75% or with marron glacée.
