In 1838 Pascal Dartigalongue, a native of San Lannes near Madiran, moved to Nogaro in the Gascogne and founded the masion Dartigalongue d'Armagnac, which has been owned and run by the family ever since. Every year the best white wines are distilled in Armagnac, stored in oak casks seasoned and aged for several years in the cellar two floors of the 19th century. Matured for a minimum of fifteen years Dartigalongue Hors d'Age Bas Armagnac shows a complex nose of caramel, toasted almonds, nougat and nuts. The palate is fruity, medium-bodied and balanced frersco. The tannins are present at the end, you will hear hints of plum and vanilla.
