THE FIRST CHAMPAGNE MILLESIMATO DEDICATED TO SPRING
More than a vintage champagne, an ode to spring. "Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Premiere Edition is the latest expression of a vintage champagne only made to be enjoyed in the spring. More than one vintage, it is a tribute to the sublime beauty of nature, a very important value for the Maison. In 1902, Emile Gallé devised an arabesque of anemones as a decoration for the prestigious Perrier-Jouët cuvée. An artistic legacy to the Maison has always remained faithful. Since its founding in 1811, the Maison Perrier-Jouët has placed at the center of his philosophy, the values of authenticity and elegance, combined with a genuine love for nature. Consistent with this philosophy, Chef de Caves Hervé Deschamps was inspired by the beauty of nature and the ethereal scents that permeate the garden of the Maison Belle Epoque, the historic home of Perrier-Jouët, to create the first cuvée Champagne: a rare vintage and elegant, only available this spring. A true craftsman, Hervé Deschamps has made the cuvée Belle Epoque Premiere Edition with the same skill with which he would compose a bouquet of spring flowers. The result is a wine that embodies a unique year, thanks to the dominant presence of Grand Cru Chardonnay (90%), carefully selected for their elegance, freshness and vivacity, and which combine the delicacy, the body and the flexibility of Pinot Noir macerated (10%), coming mostly from the town of Vertus, the only village on the Côte des Blancs, producing a red wine. Floral, elegant and precise, Belle Epoque Edition Premiere achieves a rare balance between a vintage wine and the constant search for elegance, typical of Perrier-Jouet. On the nose, delicate hints of juicy yellow fruit, lemon zest and yuzu citrus, on which stands the aroma of elderflower with its evocations of Hanami, the fleeting blossom season in Japan. A veritable bouquet of ripe fruit and floral aromas that blend beautifully with the whispered hints of metallic minerals and flint and chalk powder. On the palate the attack is fresh and lively, followed by a final note large and generous.
