wine is obtained by selecting the very best Montepulciano and Aglianico grapes. It undergoes traditional vinification; the must remains in prolonged contact with the dregs of pressed grapes and undergoes ageing in small oak casks. Deep, garnet red with violet reflections, this is a rich, intense wine, with great harmony and a perfect blend of ripe fruit flavours that evoke undergrowth, plum, hints of roasted wood and vanilla. Ideal with red meats, game, haute cuisine dishes, cheeses .Serving temperature: 18°C. Ideally, the bottle should be uncorked at least one hour before serving Vine: Area of production: Martarosa. Altitude: 100 mt. Soil type: calcareous. Planting: trellis of 4,400 vines per hectare. Average age of vines: years 15. Surface area of vineyard: 6 ha. Production per hectare: 70/80 q.li. Alessio Di Majo Norante had the great merit to carry out extensive research on the indigenous grapes of the South, offering wines rich in character and thickness, which are able to combine the ancient peasant culture with an eye toward the future. A courageous choice that fights approval and defends the uniqueness of the territories, this is because the winemaking philosophy of Di Majo Norante respects the traditional approach to growing grape and wine production, in order to pursue the goal of preserving all the characteristics of the Mediterranean grapes. For these reasons, Di Majo Norante is the largest representative of the Molise region, which in recent years has been able to give bottles truly amazing. From the Greco to Aglianico, from Falanghina to the Bombino: right from the heart of the wine-making southern tradition produce wines of great value, of which Don Luigi and Ramitello are among the most authoritative exponents.
