Manufactured by a family of Guatemala long entrepreneurial tradition, it stems from the fertile plantations and mineral properties Botran House, whose sugar cane juice is concentrated to 75% to get the miel virgen, the rich cane juice. Directly fermented and distilled using methods designed internally, the rum reaches maturity in Quetzaltenango bottaie at 2400 meters above sea level resting, according to the solera system of four woods ( four blocks ), in barrels of American whiskey, American whiskey moderately toasted and, finally, Porto and Sherry. Exquisite blend of rums aged up to 14 years, distilled from the juice of sugar cane subject to slow fermentation. Botran Ron Añejo Reserva is aged according to the Solera system at 2,400 meters above sea level, in barrels of American white oak, new and toasted, which previously contained sherry and American Whiskey aged; Finally, they are placed in casks that have matured Porto. COLOR: Mahogany with glossy reflections. BODY: very dense, with deep bows. Bouquet: complex and expressive, with apparent presence of toasted wood and a slight smell of vanilla in the background. Hints of green apple, dried cranberries, and orange zest, lime dried. Spicy flavors like cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg combined with caramel. TASTE: dry . Seductive. Blast. In perfect balance with woody notes that are derived from the barrels. Emerging flavors of candied fruit, red berries, ripe fruit and spices such as cloves; lingering taste, final robust and mature.

The Botran family is commonly known for sugarcane production in Guatemala, but in 1939 they decided to begin a journey by establishing Industria Licorera Quetzalteca. The five brothers agreed that the ultimate place to age rum in Guatemala was Quetzaltenango. Since that day they have been involved in all the details regarding their rum production. Although the nurturing process has evolved, it all began with the nurturing process called “Sistema Solera.” This process implies the integration of young and old rums, as they mellow for years in white oak barrels. They are the first family that produced Guatemalan rum, nowadays they continue producing one of the world’s finest quality rums.
