Appearance Orange filled with ruby reflections. Bouquet: Fresh, fragrant and sweet. Dried figs and dates, Virginia tobacco, Pedro Ximenez dessert wine. Palate Soft, velvety, never biting or, conversely, too syrupy. Chocolate, orange peel and orange liqueur. Here too we find figs and dried dates, and a cocktail of tropical fruits. Very drinkable. Aftertaste: A slight peppery touch contrasts with the character just very soft, moderately sweet and accessible. Comment: A long-aged rum that is able to keep cool and not too heavy. His style is very unusual soft and fresh for a rum so old, that on the contrary, however, remains challenging and lively, and free of undue influence of the wood.
